The Today show is broadcast in HD. You would have thought common sense would prevail and channel 7 would do the same thing with their morning news show's but they haven't.

Is it still in HD since the intro of FreeView?

Being a capper I also regret that FTA has relegated HD to secondary channels in some cases, but the fact is that HD doesn't win ratings. Sunrise has almost continuously beat Today in the ratings in spite of it not being HD. This goes for a lot of other channels as well.

So if you really want to get to the nitty gritty Channel 7 are showing common sense and not using HD where there is no point in doing so.
