Yes, she certainly didn't fit the image of Brigidene Convent at Snotty Ives :giggle:

The funny part, from a Sydney perspective, is the types that moved into "new St Ives" in the 70s were similar to the 1980s Cherrybookers and now are dopleganged by the renamed suburbs in housing estates in Kellyville :chuckel: Gottalove newmoney & young urbanites
Did you live there? My family did. Growing up we had an amazing home at St Ives then we moved to Turramurra. The Jewish community were in great numbers in St Ives during the 70's and 80's. The Asians started moving in large numbers in the 80's (and pretty much is still that mix today).

Cherrybrookers were and always will be the wannabe copycats and are still an isolated stereotype. $700k homes built in the mid 80's that bottomed out by 60%. That was disgraceful.

I was the other side of the valley in Belrose, though we did ride our dirt bikes through to Snives quite often.

^ Lucky you did not get shot by the Mr Asia mob that used the valley for "sport" haha Rusty i used to Greengate on roite to school sport, we were allowed to ride our pushies & strangely it always took ages or we got lost! haha

Rusty I did go to gigs at the Greenie tho incl Tommy Emanuel & Austen Tayshus a couple of times. Stayed well away from the "bikies" and likely lads out front. So 1970-73 occasional vistitor then a couple of times 1984-86, mostly dinner then poq

Agree. Well Mandy did a few movies too. I have a pic somewhere of her and I just after she did Midnight Spares. No idea where that is. PS (sorry off-again), Elle MacPherson used to drink at the Greengate too when she was underage ('The TAB Girl'). Her boyfriend back then was a whacko.

Ok, contribution with Mandy in Pandemonium. Sorry I cannot seem to embed it.
