What about this one? Anyone know if it's going to be on? I hope it's doesn't end up only being on on FoxTel!

Saw an advert previewing it on Channel Sandra last night. This is a little disconcerting considering the way they treated Torchwood...

Hey, considering it's for free, I will take whatever they give me. However, this series is a significant departure from the "Stargate" with which we are familiar. The plot reminds me of "Blakes 7" (You'll remember that Skaven ;)) As for Foxtel, I already have Ads for free, why would I pay for them as well? Fuck you, Rupert, and your pay per view internet business model.

The reoccurring thought I kept having all the way through it was that obviously Wright & Cooper have been watching a lot of Battlestar. I was quite impressed with it. It had a much bigger, grander & filmic look about it & a more mature level of reality. Watching it reminded me what watching Enterprise was like after watching all the other Trek series.

The first two episodes seemed OK. I'll have to watch a few more before I make up my mind.
I liked the inclusion of Amanda Tapping, Richard Dean Anderson and Michael Shanks. Continuity with the rest of the Stargate world seemed a good thing.

I thought it was quite good, definitely different to SG1 and SGA but good none the less. My main gripe is that so far i'm only really interested in two characters, Rush (who seems almost like he could be EVILLL) and Eli (who reminds me alot of Mckay, he even said the "It's not my fault" line lol) i'm hoping the other chars will grow on me.
Also did anyone else find it strange that Carter couldn't fight off 3 measly Lucian Alliance ships? I mean for gods sake we have friggin Asgard shields/weapons now.

I noticed that as well... in the movie Stargate : The Ark of Truth they were able to hold off 4? ori motherships for what seemed like 5 minutes while the replicators attacked the ship. These are the same ori mother ships that where one shotting Hat'aks (the same ships that where attacking the Hammond.)
