My favourite character is Zoidberg.

Favourite quote : "Look at me... I'm Dr Zoidberg - Home Owner!"
and
"You have Zoidberg as a friend... you ALL have ZOIDBERG! But if you turn on me I'll be on you like that!" *snaps claws* "Woop Woop Woop!"

Good news everyone!

As quoted by Billy West from Billywest.com

Quote:
HERE'S GREAT NEWS! Here's the official word on Futurama!!
David X. phoned me about an hour ago and said that this Futurama project is a done deal! Here's the word from DX--- There are 4 DVD movies that we'll start recording at the end of July or August.
Full feature length FUTURAMA movies.

Everybody is excited to get back together--as I am!

Into the Future, Billy

Wow. That's cool.

But the beauty of Futurama is the ~25 minute episodes.

I don't think it will stretch to feature length, especially not 4.

Like a lot of Futurama episodes are just the right length, or very fractionally too long.

Fantastic news that the network has finally recognised that Futurama IS a marketable item.

I agree with the concern over the "feature length" format though, but I trust that Matt Groenig will find a way to make it work. After all, Futurama was his "pet" project.

For me, Zoidberg and Bender absolutely make this series.

Can't wait to see it :) :) :)

Good news everyone!

Quote:
Comedy Central has resurrected the former Fox animated series from "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening and David X. Cohen. At least 13 new episodes of Futurama will be produced -- the first since the series' original run from 1999-2003.

The new batch is part of a deal the cable network made with 20th Century Fox Television last year to pick up syndicated rights to the existing "Futurama" library of 72 episodes. Comedy Central also had an option to air any new episodes produced.

New and old episodes will begin airing in 2008 on Comedy Central. Actors Billy West, Katey Sagal and John DiMaggio have agreed to return as voices for "Futurama."

"We are thrilled that Matt Groening and 20th Century Fox Television have decided to produce new episodes of 'Futurama' and that Comedy Central will be the first to air them," said David Bernath, senior vice president for programming at the network
