Ok I have just downloaded ringofyre's link to the youtube-dl-gui, and this is much easier to use than ffmpeg:

1 - obtain the AOS videos as I described here:
viewtopic.php?f=80&t=13813&start=800#p641606

2 - go here to download the youtube-ds-gui . Install the program and open it.
https://mrs0m30n3.github.io/youtube-dl-gui/

3 - under "enter URLs below", paste the AOS video URL in

eg:
h**ps://10play-vod.global.ssl.fastly.net/1587846143_4c060010dad0878c2a6fc68c5ddff740a3f9743090777627832be42d8fb7d887/OTFP/ca498ec879e4d613fbc5575fdfc183c411b4681d7b676098e337418b1d61f018/ozaer-aos16_249-1500000.m3u8

4 - click on "add"

5 - click on start ( the cloud icon with the arrow inside it )

6 - done, the saved file can be found under c:\users\[YOUR PC USERNAME]

Can you copy a AOS video link you got from the channel 10 website and paste that URL into this website and see if the video play?

Ok, there is another way to download the video.

If you are using chrome, you can download the videos by installing the addon called the "Stream Video Downloader"

URL below:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... cjoilcjbhf

1 - When you finished installing the addon, go to the 10play website with the AOS clips, click on video and let it play,

example: h**ps://10play.com.au/aerobics-oz-style/episodes/season-1/aerobics-oz-style-14-feb-1995/tpv200417ontqe

2 - the addon "arrow" will switch from a grey colour to a green colour - that means it has confirmed there is an available download link

3 - click on the "green arrow" icon - from there it will give you the various video quality options. It seems 540p is the highest quality they offer in this example. Click on download

How do you get that 2nd page you got there? All I get is this, doesn't show the percentage. I let the vid play all the way out and there was no resulting video at the end.

I tried another video downloader add on and this one shows the mb's while downloading and leaves a resulting file of around 200mbs....but it wont play at all. Doing my head in.

I installed the "Stream Video Downloader" a few years back, so I got the older version of the "Stream Video Downloader", from your screencap you seem to have the latest version of ""Stream Video Downloader".

I have uninstalled my old version of "Stream Video Downloader", and reinstalled with the newer version of "Stream Video Downloader", and it seems that I am getting the same response as you. So basically the latest version of "Stream Video Downloader" cannot download from the 10play website.

I will look elsewhere to find a suitable video downloader. I will post here if I find one.

A typical AOS full episode size is roughly 250mb to 270mb. When the video download reaches 100%, it takes about 2 minutes to process the video before popping up the "save" window.

I know we've hit discussion here but...
Gudonya yabbitboy for helping out.

I can download Hot To Stay married using youtube-dl (i have that and ffmpeg in the same folder) using
Code:
$ youtube-dl.exe https://10play.com.au/how-to-stay-married/episodes/season-1/episode-1/tpv190915fsiug

but Terry's Talks
Code:
$ youtube-dl.exe https://10play.com.au/how-to-stay-married/web-extras/season-1/terrys-talks-ep-1-embracing-change/tpv190915ylupc
only comes thru as a generic download and won't download. Same site, same naming system. Any ideas? Putting a site request in at the github as well. Just thought I'd ask here while it's being discussed.

As I discovered the latest version of "Stream Video Downloader" ( version 10.0 ) does not works on videos site like 10play. I assume this is Google not liking people downloading streams and had asked the developer of "Stream Video Downloader" to update their downloader to an inferior version to their earlier release, the way thru this is to download an earlier version of the "Stream Video Downloader". So you need the "older" .crx file of the "Stream Video Downloader" and manually install it yourself.

1 - goto this site https://www.crx4chrome.com/crx/138837/ and download "Stream Video Downloader' ( you want version 9.2.8 )... Click on "Download crx file from Google CDN" and it will give you a save link ( extension_9_2_8_0.crx ) - this is a 32.8mb file

2 - Once you have downloaded this, you need to unzip it. So rename extension_9_2_8_0.crx to extension_9_2_8_0.rar ( or extension_9_2_8_0.zip ) and unzip the files to the same folder ( eg: c:\copy to car )

3 - go to chrome://extensions/

4 - on top right on the screen, enable "developer mode"

5 - on top left on the screen click on "load unpacked"

6 - goto the folder with the unzipped files ( eg: c:\copy to car ), click "select folder"

7 - there will be a popup screen and go back to the chrome://extensions/ and there extension should be there.
