Apparently it rated third (not far behind second) last week & if they're justifying that as a reason for shifting it then that's crap considering it was on over an hour late! Most people probably gave up waiting & presumed it wasn't going to be on at all...

Well, I just realised that I missed it completely this week!
The reason I forgot is that my TV book says "Everybody Loves Raymond"!
You know, right up until now I'd never missed a single episode & because of all this late time-shifting & various other network fart-arsing around (no advertising, scheduling/time-slotting AFTER the TV books have already been printed). There would be many other like me who are self-confessed fans of the show who would watch or tape it no matter WHAT time it was on & have, through no fault of their own, now starting to miss episodes. And those bastards have got the audacity to say that they're doing thios because it doesn't rate well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep
Because that special was on Monday night (Aug 6)
and they pushed Torchwood to Wed 00.01 (Aug 8 )
so you are a week down
and this back half is when it starts to become a good series

It's probably more because of that Big Brother Finale the week before that pushed Torchwood over an hour after its scheduled time! I mean, they couldn't even be arsed putting adverts on during that final hour to let people know that Torchwood was going to be on afterwards! Why? Because paid advertising pays them more revenue! No wonder so many people didn't watch it that week (ie: greed). That's where they lost a lot of the Torchwood audience & they seeming concluded, because it only rated third as a result, to bury it somewhere & put on some other imported US crap show (that they probably got for free anyway) instead - make a whole bunch over overblown over the top promotions boasting some vague & tenuous connection to a big name (ie: James Cameron) & bye-bye Torchwood!

You'd think they could at least put it on before Lettermen, especially seeing as, the majority of the time (like tonight), the Letterman is just a repeat of one they already put on a few weeks ago...
