Just in case anyone else was curious as to why "Jack" has kinda disappeared...
Quote: From 1997 to 2005, he starred as Colonel/Brigadier General/Major General Jack O'Neill in Stargate SG-1, based on the movie Stargate starring Kurt Russell and James Spader. In Season Six, he opted to have a reduced role in the series due to his desire to spend more time with his daughter. His role was continually reduced until he left as a regular cast member in Season Nine, preferring instead to make a few guest appearances. Gateworld reported that he will be in two episodes of Season Ten of SG-1, a significant increase over his role in Season Nine, and three episodes of Season Three of Stargate Atlantis.

That is good to hear, Angus. Col Jack O'Neill's humour was most humorous (sorry trying to do Teal'c talk).

I loved Crichton's sense of humour in Farscape so am looking forward to seeing Benny Browder's Stargate character develops. Although the humour in Farscape had a very distinct Australian flavour (even though it was written for an American leading male)...

Added... once again to my collection is a fresh copy of Season 9. Although Stargate is my favourite show (awesome enough to be the only one I buy on dvd) I'm a little dissapointed with the box itself. Now I know it seems nitpicky, but I simply hate the fact that now all of them lined up with one another, it's Season 9 that is the odd one out. The printing is all wrong, pictures to and here's the kicker... the box has been folded a different way as well. "Not happy Jan"! But still none the less I follow to the SG-1 grave or my own, whichever comes first... hopefully mine!
I'm telling myself the reason why it's changed, is because the producers wanted to give it a new overhaul.
Btw...... STARGATE IS AWESOME, did I mention that?

I'm really dark about the fact that they switched from box-sets to digi-paks too! Maybe they want everyone to buy the whole past nine seasons again in those collection tins so that they have the full set of matching digi-paks? Looks like MGM may have decided to do the dirty on us...
My grip is with Fox. They caught me out a few times. I bought the season one box-set of Millennium but one they did seasons two & three they switched to the 1 & 2 part three disc slip-cases. They did the exact same thing after they released the season one Lost in Space box-set. I wrote several angry emails to a contact I finally established at Fox & told her that it was clearly just a scame to improve their retail takings but twisting people to double & tripple their purchases. Eventually she caved in & sent me all the new packaging for all the Lost in Space & Millennium so I could re-package my discs. I'm glad I'm not collection the Buffy & Angel box-sets because I believe they've changed the packaging for them about six times now!

I couldn't agree with you more,
It does seem like those companies keep doing that, which is why I've resorted to only buying tv series in 1 complete box set totally when the series has been ended for a while. SG-1/Atlantis is the only series that I've bought on dvd to date.
And yes you're right about Buffy and Angel for that matter. 1st was Season 1 (Buffy) in one box, then came the 2 Part Season box sets, now they have the full amary 6 disks cases, now they've got the entire series in 1 single box, my mate bought the Angel series in the 2 part boxes, $80 per part, then in it's final 5th season released the 6 disk amary... it's bloody ridiculous!
I've had my rant and whinge for the day, now it's time to make up for it and give money to a hobo or something... so karma won't kick me in the arse!

Wow - this weeks Stargates (US releases) REALLY REALLY sucked. The SG1 was so bad I stopped watching it half way through and that has never happened before...

I was pissing myself all throughout SG-1. It was a kind of retrospective look back at the show after 200 episodes. Atlantis episode was cool, I liked it
