Well the UK Congress has once again proven to be one of my favourite congresses in the world.

We taught 2 workshops, an Advanced Turn Patterns On1 class as well as a Body Movement workshop back by popular demand from last year.

We also performed on Saturday night as one of the last performances to close off the night. The line up was Oliver & Luda, Swing Guys & then Tropical Gem. Although we hated waiting around we are always honored to be put in such a respectable position.

As well as our performance, I also performed my solo routine 'Rhythm Junkie' on the Sunday night at the Inagrual Sunday night Congress Production which featued only a selected few invited dancers.

It was a production featuring audio and visual effects with a theme linking all the performances together.

I was the phantom like mystery guy with a mask, long trench coat, black bandena, black eye make up and no shirt! I came in dancing the waltz... then in a couple of heart beats 'BANG' I broke into my routine.

It was great with the responce being nothing less than a standing ovation.

The European Masters was also a highlight of the Congress and had a strong Australian representation with Sugit & Mary as well as Jamie & Liz in the finals.

As this competition was an IDO run competition (International Dancesport Organisation) and was a qualifier for the Vegas World Championships, Luda and I were asked as the reigning Vegas World Champions as well as the 2001 IDO World Champions to not compete in the event but to judge this event instead! So with much consideration, Luda and I decided to take up this privelaged opportunity and judge.

Luda and I judged the 1st round together but only I judged the semi finals and finals along with a panel of 10 other respected judges including Albert Torres and Eddie The Salsa Freak.

The results found Sugit & Mary in 3rd place along with Jamie in Liz in 4th.

A great result to have Sugit & Mary placing in the top 3 so congratulations!

With international finalists such as Sugit & Mary Grace, Jamie & Liz as well as myself and Luda as Current World Champions Australia really is a force to be reckonged with.
