Melbourne comedian Tegan Higginbotham is multi-talented performer, actor and writer. She is a veteran participant of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, having performed at every festival since reaching the National Finals of Class Clowns in 2005. Her first solo festival show, Million Dollar Tegan, was a personal investigation of the traditional gentleman’s sport of boxing, where Tegan got hit in the head A LOT. While 2013’s show, Touched By Fev, looked at the question of whether sporting heroes should be role models as well. Both shows earned Tegan 4.5 star reviews.

Tegan has performed as part of sketch comedy group The Hounds, as well as alongside comedian Adam McKenzie in the surreal comedy duo, Watson. Through her ensemble and solo shows, Tegan has garnered popular awards, a Best Newcomer nomination, and a Golden Gibbo nomination for exciting and different comedy. Tegan has become a regular part of the stand-up scene and has performed alongside the best in comedy including Wil Anderson, Dave Hughes, Justin Hamilton and Mick Molloy.

Tegan’s TV acting credits include Thank God You’re Here, Twenty Something, City Homicide and an upcoming project with Highwire Films (Agony Guide, Lowdown) to air in 2014.

If that’s not enough, Tegan is also as a regular contributor to The Age Sport and writes a regular blog.

She's an amazing comedian. If you get the chance to see her live then do it. One of the best of the younger generation.
