Teen star eyes long career

Ruby Hall has stars in her eyes. The 18-year-old Perth actress on the rise, who stars in new ABC3 show Mal.com which starts today, has her sights set on a long career in the limelight - after she's graduated, she hopes, from WAAPA.

The former Churchlands Senior High School student, right, has spent the year working towards her audition for the prestigious acting course at the institution.

As well as singing lessons, Hall flexed her thespian muscles on the set of new children's sitcom Mal.com which was filmed in the ABC's East Perth studios in March.

"Mal.com was crazy, it was so much fun. Every day on set there was something fun to do - there were animals and we had to eat disgusting things, we were put in the funniest situations," the former Sleepover Club actress told Access All Areas.

Hall stars in the show as Daisy alongside Luke Ledger, cousin of the late Heath Ledger.

"Luke's lovely, he's only a year older than me so we got along well from the beginning and we were together most of the time on set," she said.

The program, which was funded by ScreenWest, will run for 15 episodes at 7.15 on weekday mornings.

The series follows the adventures of three homeless youngsters - wheeler-dealer Jake (Ledger), wannabe starlet Daisy (Hall) and the seriously feral Kid (Gwy McKenna) - after they stumble upon television's biggest secret: Malcom Mann (Geoff Paine), TV3's most popular host, is a robot.
The three end up living with Malcom and pretending to be his children after his ambitious producer, Holly (Danielle Carter) agrees to find them a home together in a desperate attempt to keep a lid on the secret.

I know it’s been a long while, but does anybody know what has become of Ruby Hall? The girl is absolutely gorgeous, and mal.com is on abc23 again from tonight.
I’ve tried to look for any info/insta... but had no success.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Like many may have got burned when her agent went down. No action or social media may suggest married or just over being in the public spotlight.

Thanks atefooterz
I initially thought married. Apart from a few small Australian tv shows, I don’t think she had much popular & commercial success. It’s sad-she was/is such a little hottie, I’m disappointed we can’t see her anymore.
