Harold and Madge (Ian Smith and Anne Charleston) Ian and Anne are favourite faces in Erinsborough but they have no qualms about leaving if they must! Both actors have left and returned to the show three times since they started in the late ‘80s. Having Harold and Madge back for the 30th anniversary wasn’t just exciting for fans, it was a big deal for the cast, too. “They’re both so marvellous,” Alan says. “They’re so loved here.”
