I reckon Jackie wakes up and thinks she's landed the best job in the world - imagine acting alongside Mr Fletcher mmmmm ...
Seriously though, they're both wonderful actors, the show would be pointless to watch without them, thats no disrespect to the other actors, just how much i love watching Fletch & Jackie. I had another look at Carrington Bend and it was great to watch again, thanks for the links.
. Does anyone know where I can watch the full eps from where Karl wants to get back with Susan but she refuses and he meets Jen (even though its only Karl & Susan for me, I did like Jen's character). I wish they'd make 'the Kennedy Years' DVD - I'd pay good money for that!!

PMSL at that pic! Genius to the max!

I think if I was in charge of producing the Neighbours DVD, I would put the followings on it.

Disc 1

2004 Finale - End Of An Era (episode commentary by Ben Michael and Luke Devenish)
Publish And Be Damned - Susan shouting at Karl in the street (episode commentary by Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodbourne)
Marc and Steph's non-wedding Part 1 & 2 (double feature)
Toadie and Dee's Wedding (double feature)
2002 Season Finale - Karl & Susan's Wedding
Sarah and Karl's first kiss
Drew's demise
1998 Season Finale - Joel trapped underwater
Making Mansion episode

Disc 2

Feature 1 - Outtakes: 28 years of hilarity
Feature 2 - From Paper to Screen: Find out how an episode is made and ends up on your screen 4 months later
Feature 3 - Deleted Scenes
Feature 4 - "A Day In The Life Of..." - See what a day is like in the life of Ian Smith, Alan Fletcher, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Stefan Dennis, Jackie Woodbourne
Feature 5 - Everybody Needs Good Neighbours: Documentary encapsulating 28 years of the show, featuring episode highlights, cast and crew mini-interviews, behind-the-scenes access and more...

Haha what am I kidding, my second disc would be scenes from K&S's best storylines, purely for my own self indulgence, of course!

Your idea sounds awesome - if only ! That pic was taken with my stethoscope, gave it to Fletch after a gig, had my camera ready, thinking he'd just put it round his neck - but nope, very funny guy and the pic was taken in seconds.

Don't know about you guys but I get a bit cheesed off that there's hardly anything out there to do with the show, promotion wise - just think of all those backpackers, tourists who go on the tour, Nbours Nights etc - they're missing a trick, and what are they doing to celebrate Karl and Susan's 20th year? Probably a few interviews and that's about it. I know there was lots of stuff in the early years but I can't understand why they didnt keep it up and tbh, even though I've watched it from the beginning, (showing my age!!), its only since The Kennedy's were introduced that I took notice!! Lol. I'm proud to say that me and my eldest son still watch it every day, without fail.

I read that Neighbours is going to make a deal out of Karl & Susan being 20 years anniversary. I like hearing how the new producer knows and loves the show completely http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s14/n ... wards.html

Lol I have seen most episodes from 1993 to 2014 to date and have been catching up on the early 80s episodes on DVD box sets, and wouldn't mind seeing every episode, but doubt it unless they release every episode on DVD.

So the late 90s Neighbours is really my era. It's a great decade of Neighbours with lots of great plots. A few missteps but some excellent stuff and some great families: The Martins, Willises and later the Kennedy's!!

It's just amazing to think how long I've been watching and how I've grown up with the show. And again I've said this before but Neighbours means more than just a never ending Aussie drama with high family values & beautiful shiny people! But that it signifies tea time, lunchtime, the end of work, or the lack of work, familiarity, and the regular rhythm of weekday life!

ETA: There's something special about Neighbours which no other soap has come close to..what ever period there is always something you like. Sometime you have to look hard to find them but it is there. I guess at the end of the day..that is the true nature of being Neighbours fans you keep watching no matter how bad or good it gets!

The show is special for me because its the one thing me and my eldest son have watched together, since he was born - same year the Kennedy's were introduced - a difficult birth left him with cerebral palsy and as a baby he had poor head control, but as soon as the music came on, he'd pull his head up and stare at the TV!! It's been a ritual that we watch it together - my youngest son gave up when my mum said he looked like Callum years ago!! I've taken him to 'Ramsay St' and he loved it, was going to take him to the Nbours Night but decided that was 'my time to drool over Fletch!! Lol'

'tis a dream of mine to go on a Neighbours tour and have my photo taken with the famous Ramsay Street Sign!!

Image

LOL Neighbours Trivia Night looks like a really fun and cheesy night out and probably a must for true Neighbours buff to mingle with the cast members...
