Quote: MELISSA George has split with her husband of 11 years and hooked up with multi-millionaire hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons.
The 34-year-old Aussie actress and Simmons, 53, were snapped kissing at a New Jersey soccer match on Wednesday, surprising onlookers with their public displays of affection.
It's the second sighting of one-time Home And Away star George and Simmons, with the pair attending the Friends With Benefits film premiere and after-party in New York.
Simmons, who is worth an estimated $340 million, became a millionaire by founding the hip-hop label Def Jam. His younger brother the Rev Joseph Simmons is Run from the hip-hop group Run-DMC.
Perth-born George, who used to own a house in Annandale, made her name as Angel Parrish in Home And Away and was nominated for a Golden Globe last year for her role in US drama In Treatment.
She has not been seen with her husband, Chilean film director Claudio Dabed, 46, since they attended the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival in March.
The pair met in Bali in 1998 and married two years later.
In an interview with Sunday magazine last January, George gave no hint that they were on the rocks, saying she led an idyllic life between in Buenos Aires and New York.
George's representative did not respond when contacted.
