SHE'S missed out on two huge Hollywood roles in the past two
The ex-Home And Away star says she's happy biding her time until she gets a shot at the silver screen.
"It can be frustrating," the 20- year-old beauty told The Sunday Telegraph. "I think it's a good sign if you're getting close to things. It just means having patience."
Evans narrowly lost out to Aussie Mia Wasikowska for the role of Alice alongside Hollywood heavyweight Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland.
She also auditioned for a Steven Spielberg-produced film, I Am Number Four. "He (Spielberg) commented on all my tapes, which means he's seen me, which is bizarre to imagine," Evans said.
"I met Tim Burton, which was great. He's kind of crazy - he looks like a mad scientist, or a crazy musician, or something like that, but he was really lovely."
Evans is set to guest-star alongside her former Summer Bay cohort Kate Ritchie in what she has described as her most "controversial" role yet - playing a prostitute in the Nine Network's latest drama, Cops: LAC, set to air later this year."It's nothing like I've done before," Evans said.
"It was really fun to do, actually, but some bits were a bit uncomfortable to film.
"We shot it in the Cross, and I looked a bit bizarre and got some odd looks."
Although most of her counterparts have moved to Los Angeles since leaving Home And Away, Evans is happy to call Sydney home.
"I don't mind LA, but I prefer it here. I'm not planning to move there but, if I have to go, I will.
"I'm auditioning for more American things than Australian things."
