I'd try to keep my Australian accent if I went over to Canada. The only thing is, she has Canadian accent slip ups on H&A these days when she never used to.

Perhaps you are right, Wolverine, and she thinks she's a novelty since she 'came out' as a closet North American. Or perhaps you are simply displaying misplaced cognitive dissonance.

Maybe I'm judging too harshly but my experience is these people tend to have a chip on their shoulder. I don't have anything against people with accents (I have one myself) but I would rather learn perfect Aussie accent if I could (I was 19 when I came to Australia so it was too late for me) and still speak my first tongue just as well. And those who don't just struck me as wanting to stand out. Particularly if you came here at the age of 4.

Clearly you took that personally. I was speaking generally (he/she.. him/her).

'Home and Away's Rhiannon Fish: 'I'm not coming back to Australia'

Home and Away star Rhiannon Fish has revealed that she is committed to starting a new life in the US.

The actress, whose final scenes as April Scott air in Australia this week, has said that she plans to leave for America in 2014 - in time for pilot season, when auditions for new TV shows are being held.Fish said to Yahoo TV: "I am not coming back. I'll visit, because my family is here, but you have to totally commit to the fight there.

"It's one thing to send tapes but you have to be in those rooms to show you want it."

Fish also revealed that she is aware of how tough the process is over in the US, especially after watching the ABC series Next Stop Hollywood earlier this year.

"I watched it with another couple of actors and we were like, 'Wow, this industry is tough'. To see that show first and what exactly those people had to go through was an eye opener.

"Yes, people, do go [to Hollywood] and have success like Chris Hemsworth (Kim Hyde), but that's the minority. Most people go there and fail."
