Sexy Sophie fronts up on Getaway I t was always going to be that Sophie Monk's fronting of Getaway would involve, well, some front.
And so it is this week, with producers wedging their new guest recruit into a bikini, Monk filling the mould of former Getaway gal Jodhi Meares in showing off her figure - and the Mexican coastal resort of Cabo.
Speaking from Los Angeles, Monk admitted her trusty two-piece remains on standby in relation to her career.
"There's always some excuse for me to get in a bikini, and my manager told me the other day I'd need it for another job I've got. To be honest, I cannot wait for the day I can put it away and wear a mother's (one-piece) swimming suit with a bathing cap."
Monk said her latest travel report was "funnier" than her Los Angeles debut a month ago and would feature "designer tequilas" and a "ridiculously awesome" beachside hotel.
On the matter of her pending US reality TV series with the current working title Beauty And The Business, filming will commence in earnest next month.
"Everything and everyone is now in place and ready to roll. Everyone makes out, like on the Kardashian shows, that it's so glamorous and I'm showing how it's really done on your own when you haven't got family with money or anything.
"I don't have a rich husband or rich parents, it's me living normally without the perks of celebrity. Yesterday, I had 10 paparazzi following me and people in the street stopping me asking who I was."
The series to be produced by hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons is expected to debut on E! later this year.
Monk said it would be devoid of the usual manufactured scandal. "Well, it's not like I have a sex tape. It's all pretty harmless."
Getaway airs this Thursday, 7.30pm, on Nine.
