 Youtube video embedding

Hi there, I've noticed that Youtube has changed their embed code slightly. When I add the new embed code into a forum post, I just get a white box instead of a video.

Below is an example of the new style of embed code and the old style of embed code.

Code:
New Code:
[youtube]<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/X76k6NiixW8?fs=1&amp;hl=en_GB"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/X76k6NiixW8?fs=1&amp;hl=en_GB" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>[/youtube]

Old Code:
[youtube]<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/X76k6NiixW8&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/X76k6NiixW8&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>[/youtube]

The change seems to be that this text in the old embed code

Code:
&hl=en_GB&fs=1&

has changed to this text in the new code

Code:
?fs=1&amp;hl=en_GB

By copying and pasting the embed code from Youtube into the post, then copying and posting the old text from a video which I had previously embedded, i can get the new videos to embed properly. I'm just wondering if there is something which can be done to simplify this process so it works like it used to?

Hopefully that made some sense. :chuckel:

luckily it makes no difference as the " youtube" button top right control above post area places [ youtube ] [ /youtube ] *spaces inserted to stop code*
This links to an embed script that mkaes it suitable to BB Board insertion , as it is very different , same as pictures from image host will use [img] not <img>

all that is needed before & now is the code after v= ( if you just take the link off the address bar )
when using the embed code then all at hat is after /v/ until the = sign .. so in your example the code is X76k6NiixW8?fs
then posted as Press youtube button & controlv or paste code between the code ( spacers added ) [ youtub e] X76k6NiixW8?f s [ / youtube ]

[youtube]X76k6NiixW8?fs[/youtube]

If you quote this message you will see how this vid is actually placed into page

A bit offtopic but VIMEO is getting a larger following & they do have better quality vids so can we please have a code or conversion for embedding html <> code they supply into our [vid] BB format ?
