have had the same problem, was running very slow for me but i thought it was my computer, seems to be back to normal this morning for me though

It was only slow for a while around lunchtime yesterday. It's been fine since.

I've been reading through this thred for ages.... And I still can't find how I can connect to this site with TPG... could someone quote what needs to be done?!

The only way I can get on here is via my iPhone which is with optus.

I know its some sort of DNS issue which i can't seem to figure out...

IP addresses have changed since... I've modified the post to reflect the correct IP address.

In any case, it was a TPG problem that was resolved within couple of months. The post above was a crude work-around but it should no longer be necessary. So if you did modify your hosts file, it's best to revert those changes now.

I'm puzzled by how the 'user statistics' work
About a month ago I was wondering if narly was still on top or whether someone had toppled him, so had a look and found he still reigns as the leading poster, congrats to narly keep up the good work mate..

Just had another look and saw that he's still on top, but looked at the rank number and thought that it seemed lower than when I last looked, also had a look at my own rank and a couple of other posters and noticed that ours have also dropped.

So I'm puzzled about how posters can still be making new posts over time and yet the rankings seem to be going down...?

That's because major part of the formula takes into account uploader's percentage of ALL pictures uploaded to AusCelebs. As other people are making more contributions (and uploader in question is not making contributions at the same exponential rate), the total number of points is reduced. But don't worry, as the time goes and more files are uploaded, it becomes more difficult to catch up with those who have high number of points.

Glad to see Myther has been making good progress up the list. New prolific cappers are always welcome.
