Good thing we can't post pictures of UKers here. I suspect you'd be very disappointed with the nude Katy Manning pictures with the Dalek.

I remember seeing one of her's many years ago where she was standing in front of a dalek with her arm over her breasts & straddling his plunger so the sucker would hide her maiden's flowers - except for a little tuft of pubic hair. Naughty but not rude.

I don't know HOW they got TN's permission to use a dalek for THAT one!

Probably didn't - you should see the whole set of pics Katy did - she did a Playboy spread in the late '70s (with the Dalek) as well as another one in the early '80s.

I wish I'd seen them! Then we'd all be dirty, dirty little grommits!

Ah, but she's not a UKer any more. She has been a permanent resident in Australia since 1989 and became a citizen in 2004, so posting them should be okay now that she's officially an Aussie.

EDIT: Forgot to add that she's been living with Barry Crocker for over 15 years.

Wasn't it a joy to watch Dr Who tonight & see a companion go out & take out an entire cyberman platoon single-handedly instead of just running away screaming?

And you can see the direction Sylv's Doctor was to take. A mysterious & possibly even darker figure. This was his character choice & one which I think worked really well.

The cybermen looked at their best ever in this story too.



Heehee! Well, you posted the pictures so I guess that makes us all grubby little grommits together. How does one spell "grommits" anyway?

I was talking to a friend's wife who organises sci-fi conventions & she said Katy is every bit the sweetie that you expect her to be. John Levene (aka: Sergeant Benton) was a different story. I actually got a bit choked up hearing her crying over Jon at the end of the audio commentary for "Green Death". You know, although we all agreed that she was one of our favourite companions, I don't think any of us remembered to mention the third Doctor & Jo Grant as one of the best chemistries.

Anyway, if Johnnie Farnham, Jon English & Olivia Newton-John can call themselves Australian, I see no reason why Katy can't.
