Just thought you guys might like to know that the "Dr Who: The Beginning" DVD box-set is worth getting just for the Mark Gatiss & David Walliams skits.

The "Genesis of The Daleks" DVD's a nice 2-disc package too.
They've already released "Ark in Space" so I don't know what they're going to do about "The Sontaran Experiment" in the middle, seeing as it's only two episodes long. With the VHS release they just lumped it together with Genesis...

I'm waiting to see if the stick will get pulled out and Destiny of the Daleks will ever get released, the I'll buy from Genesis onwards since they all have a loose connection

Oh! I thought you were refering to something more specific.

It looks like the BBC may have finally solved it's missing episodes problem so that we may see these stories we're always hearing about.
They're using the original soundtracks with new animation.
They're starting it with Pat Troughton's "Invasion".
You can read about it & watch the 20 second trailer here:

Fantastic! But I'll have to see this first. Pat T would be remarkably difficult to capture.

I think it's a fabulous idea. It's the only way our generation are ever going to see them & Cosgrove are a very high quality animation studio. It'll be interesting to see if they ever get to the adventures that have most, or even all, of the video footage lost.
An earlier idea was to use the still images from the missing episodes with the audio but they can always be put as an extra in the DVD photo gallery anyway.
The other option (if Cosgrove doesn't work out) is to possibly consider one of the Japanese anime companies because their animation development is about twenty years ahead of any of the Western & I'm sure they're just as familiar with Dr Who over there as we are here...

I reckon Aunty should go for it & run the entire original series again. A lot of newer & younger viewers may have only caught the bug part the way through this last time & may actually be appreciative of a second chance to see them all. They might tell all their friends to watch this time around too.
