Hardware is fine but software (Samsung's own applications) looks like it was given to a 4 year old to put together. So many features, all fighting for your attention. Personally, I would stick with something offering a cleaner version of Android, such as LG (G4 or G5), or even Google's own Nexus line (can be found much cheaper through Kogan).

As narly said, Samsung phones are very consumer oriented, with a stack of shit con-sumer apps that can't be removed... Unless you have the knowledge to jailbreak and put a custom ROM of course. And risk bricking a $700 phone.
I personally prefer HTC phones, have a look on GSM Arena or Whistleout to see the latest models. Have a much better feel (metal rather than plastic), look a bit more serious, and the GUI is more sensible.
Then staticice.com.au to compare pricing and find the lowest price. Then officeworks to price beat (if they have the model)

Thanks chaps , I was led to believe that Samsung was nest best thing to an iphone. Not an LG fan , might look at HTC. Last 3 phones have been Motorola might even go that way again , always been tough and trouble free.

Just got a Samsung S10e to replace my S7. Of the 3 S10 variants, this is the cheapest and smallest, pretty much exactly the same size as the S7 which suits me fine. Almost went for a 3 year contract and pay a total of $1200 but thought naaaaaah. Went on Gumtree and found some between 650 and 900. Got a nice one for 700. Then sold my S7 on Gumtree for 200. So all up 500 for a semi new phone.

I hope you didn't get it in the end, has to be the worst phone I've had. Terrible battery life, no expandable storage. Optus was almost giving them away 9 months after they came out!

Yeh I got it, great phone, battery life ok, Dunno about the expandable storage but I have no need for it anyway. I like the fingerprint function to unlock it. All good in the hood.

Samsung are great, never had an issue. All phones have integrated apps one cannot remove. Easy to use, rather than Apple, as Apple send's one in endless loops just to setup an account. Also expensive to repair - because it is Apple. Apple also develop stupid "Upgrades" with new phones. Latest is no home button, explain how is that intuitive or innovative? Also the only other change is x3 cameras. Who needs that a spider? In short go Samsung.
