Yep, now in my 3rd year with PIA, couldn't be happier.

Same here! Did you go for the recent price lock offer for extended device usage if you signed up for three years? I did. :thumleft:

I noticed that they opened a new Server in Perth, and that switching Servers is so fast now, it's amazing.

These guys get better as time goes on.

They started the cheaper rate for longer usage 1 week after my renewal happened...

I'm in TAS so the Melb server is the fastest for me.

Only snag is that both 9 and 10 catchup TV sites see you as being outside Australia, so need to disconnect from the VPN to download from them.

Yeah, I'm in Melb and the Perth Server sucks for speed, but as long as I'm not confronted with GEO BLOCKING issues, I can get good speeds out of the SYD Server, NZ, California, and Vancouver, so I rotate through those regularly.

Channels 9 and 10 are monitoring the IP registrations of all major VPN providers, and have a blanket rule; if you're running a VPN you can't access their site. This is not unique to PIA; every major VPN is affected.

I'm not particularly fussed, as my main motivation for running a VPN is to fuck up the Government from collecting information about me that they do not need to know.
By denying my ISP access to what Server I am connecting to, they cannot be forced to hand over that information to Peter Dutton because they don't have it.

I don't really care if Peter Dutton knows that I watch "Neighbours" Catch Up or not (BTW: I don't); so if I do want to catch up I'm happy to switch off the VPN.

I'm also not due to renew until much later this year, but I felt that the extended concurrent licence (now 10 devices) for no price increase was worth any short term extra cost.

Two years on, and I'm still with PIA.

Quite happy with the pricing and the service.
Almost never drops out, and the speed is good.

Interesting...I just noticed that they don't seem to have a gateway in South Korea, one of the most sophisticated tech nations in the world, and yet they have one in Taiwan. :cofee:
