Downloaded Day 1 and put on my Samsung i7 laptop with SSD, holy shit fast!!!

MUCH nicer interface (hybrid Win7/Win8), simple to use, and 1 day after install have it fully setup and configured to a comfortable setup.
Boot time reduced from 9 seconds to 6 seconds!

Only 1 program had a sook about compatibility (WiDi driver) which is no big deal.
Microsoft Edge (rebadged Internet Explorer 12) is fast and clean (although it refuses to list Google as a Frequent Site...)
- Edge is fast and clean, noticeable speed improvement on Chrome\IE10\IE11

If you've been hesitating or wondering about updating, do it.

Link to direct download (avoid waiting in Microsoft reservation queue), 3Gb and about an hour in total to download and install:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Note: It wouldn't work straight up for me, had to download to SDCard\USB and install from there, but installation was smooth nonetheless.

Will NOT be rolling back, already removed Windows.old and cleaned up the HDD, a smaller footprint than Win8.1 as well (19.0Gb on disk size)

Rolling over my i7 desktop\HTPC tonight

I've not been a Windows user for over 15 years now but it seems Microsoft is really cleaning up the mess it created with Windows 8.

I picked that from your avatar

W10 is a much leaner looking OS, for most users it will be an improvement, better than W7 and much better than W8\8.1 (I had 8.1 Pro Media Pack and it wouldn't let me activate...and it was a legitimate license  but all good now

Just waiting for more feedback before I take the leap from Win7.

This isn't a big forum for tech reviews, so you might be waiting a while :cofee:

One niggle: As with Win8, all the Windows system apps are hidden, meaning you either need to know what to look for.
It makes the menus easier to navigate, but means you need some knowledge to know what to look for (eg. Disk Cleanup, Optimise, Task Scheduler, Task Manager etc.

But to counter that somewhat, searching is really easy, hit the Windows key then just type what you're looking for and it will find matches.
