Australia's Melissa Wu and Alexandra Croak have won gold in the women's 10m synchro, going one better than their silver in Melbourne.

The pair won with a score of 335.76 from five dives, ahead of Malaysia's Pandelela Rinong and Mun Yee Leong in silver, who posted a score of 328.38.

Australia also took bronze courtesy of Briony Cole and Annabelle Smith, who finished with 325.50.

Croak becomes the first Australian to secure gold medals in two different Commonwealth Games sports, having previously earned a gold in the team event in gymnastics at the Manchester Games in 2002 before switching to diving a year later.

Croak says winning gold across two sports was not a driving ambition.

"I'm extremely proud and honoured to have such an achievement under my belt," she said.

"I didn't think about that at all coming into the event. I was just with Mel, just tried to be happy the whole time, and we had an agreement we were just going to go out there and enjoy it."
