Frank Vickery looks to be a very active Playwright. Did he have any imput into this production?
Sounds interesting and a good challenge for any Actor to play older
so a solid Play for al to get right

Thanks, Footz.
Mr Vickery hasn't had anything to do with this particular production personally as he lives in the UK.

soo ? this is 2006 ! A nice little ACT Theatre Group a few years ago
decided they wanted to reserect HAIR and not only got permission
but also after notifying the Playwright got to do an updated version
and 2 news songs that were culled from the original performance +
a heap of free publicity with the international connection =sellout and
an extra weeks run !

Yeah, not too bad. Not one of the highlights of my career but enjoyable. Having played a 70+ year old cockney grandpa is an interesting thing to add to the resume I guess.
Long day tomorrow. Hate doing two shows a day!
Last day tomorrow so there'll be all the bumping-out too...

THE CUSTOM OF THE COUNTRY
University of Adelaide Theatre Guild The Little Theatre
Comedy
Written By: John Fletcher & Philip Massinger
Director: Alex Kirk
A moved playreading with original music by Elder Conservatorium Masters student Alexander Mitchell, performed by a vocal and instrumental ensemble. The Custom of the Country continues the Theatre Guild's exploration of the byways of 17th and early 18th century theatre. Fletcher & Massinger's masterpiece of collaboration is a Jacobean adventure of tragicomic romance, farcical bawdry and improbable situations. First performed in 1619, the play continued to delight and shock audiences until the mid-Restoration. A rare theatrical treat!
