This is my machine. Had it for about 18 months.

Would love to do alot to it but lack of funds has stopped me.

The guy who sold it to me he had spent $7500 on the total motor rebuild 13000ks before he sold it to me. He had the car for 8 years but got a company car so he had to sell his pride and joy.
Since then I have had it lowered, put the mags on, got it tinted, upgraded the stereo to a big boom machine, got a new headlining on it, put a 3 inch Lukey Cat Back exhaust on it. The motor is already cammed so it sounds so sweet.

I love the car and to finish it off I want to put extractors on it and a new paint job as it is starting to show it 16 year age.

I currently have a white Toyota Prado GXL 2008. Ordered the new model, being assembled in Japan as we speak, expecting delivery in 2 months time. Will post piccies when it arrives. :ohyes:

Nice setup Narly. How do you find your Engel fridge? I spoke to few knowledgeable people and most of them suggested Engel. Downside is the weight you have to lug around in the back compared to WAICO and others, most of which are made of plastic. But it's the motor I worry about the most.

Also, did you arrange for dual battery work to be done? If so, how did you find the whole experience? I worry about some of the monkeys working at these outfits, a lot of them either don't have a clue about what they are doing or are careless during installation.

No trouble with the Engel wolverine . It's my second , first one I purchased second hand then sold it to some friends and it's still going strong , It's probably twenty years old now . I don't understand why an Engel would be much heavier than a Waico apart from the plastic exterior , but Engel are now doing plastic as well I think .
I installed the dual battery setup myself , not a big job. Hardest part is getting the cable from front to back , had the Jeep in bits 3 weeks after I took delivery . I have the second battery in the back as here is no room under the bonnet . I've installed Dual battery setup in 2 other vehicles , first was my series Subaru and then my XJ Cherokee . I use the Rotronics system . It's fairly straightforward .

I've got a 2003 Nissan Navara ST-R dual cab ute. It's a bit rough to ride in at times thanks to an extra leaf in the back, but still good fun and hugely practical - I live out of town and will use it to get firewood etc. It's a diesel and pretty economical on fuel. I've got a big Bullwinkle sticker on the back window.
