If, by some miracle, Labor do win, K.Rudd won't be PM long. Most of the Labor MPs don't or respect like him, the general public will remember that they didn't like him and they'll have to the same thing they had to do last time. Let's not forget he had one of the lowest approval ratings every achieved by a PM before he'd even gotten through his first year (even though the ALP were still way ahead on the Liberals). Bill Shorten will probably take over and, personally, I think he could be a better PM than K.Rudd or the Mad Monk.

Sigh, why can we just be a dictatorship and not have to elect a leader. Both of them and their parties are tools. :cofee:

North Koreans don't know how good they have it.
They say that the greatest leader in history was Hitler; he had millions of people follow him and do whatever he told them, there was just one problem...

If a dictator spent $161m on him (or her)self, it would be an outrage. Yet the last election cost $161m and we get the same rubbish, lies and failures regardless.

Rabbott could have just kept his mouth closed throughout this whole campaign, or released very conservative policies, and still get over the line.
It's popularity politics at it's worst, putting getting re-elected over what is right for the country

I didn't mind the Greens when they were about green issues - logging, Franklin River dam etc.
Now I think most Greens voters live in the inner city and have never seen a kangaroo in the wild.
They're like a bunch of uni students who think the election is about social conscience issues like same sex marriage and assylum seekers.
My worst fear is that the election result would depend on making deals with these clowns.

I normally stay out of politics but this really pissed me off! Very underhanded to sneak this out less than 2 days before an election. AusCelebs could be blocked by such a filter.

Quote:
Coalition confirms: Internet filtering by default

The Coalition MP put in charge of policy around child safety online, Paul Fletcher, has confirmed that filtering of adult content from fixed-line internet services and mobile internet will be turned on by default unless a user opts out of it.

Buried in a new policy document released today, the Coalition announced that if it wins the federal election on Saturday, it would follow the UK in implementing opt-out internet filtering of all adult content for all Australians.

He said that much of the detail is still yet to be worked out on how the filter would work, but would likely be hardware included on an internet connection in each user's home.

Fletcher defended the Coalition's decision to announce the policy just two days out from the election, stating that it was designed to align with the broader release of the Coalition's policy costings.

I was sitting on the fence (they are all as bad as each other), but there is no way now Coalition is getting my vote! First they remove any chance of a decent Internet connectivity to my house and work, now they want to tell me what I can't do on the Internet, yet what I may or may not do it perfectly legal.

Not to mention, it is almost certain this site will end up on the filter list. If that happens, we might as well shut down - most people won't bother getting themselves unblocked as it will probably involve a mountain of paperwork (proof of age etc.)

This is the single worst policy any political party can bring in, and less than 2 days from election. Way to go morons, let's hope you lose the election!

I love to contribute to this site because i know people like seeing their favorite celebs but i am not going to be jumping through hoops just to post perfectly legal content. It really is a shame.

The UK's internet filter, which the Coalition wants to copy, blocks "web forums" by default.

Not that I was going to vote for Rabbott and his merry men (or Rudd for that matter), but this is just another reason to make sure they are LAST in my preferences.

I used to work for a well known global food manufacturer, whereby my middle-senior management job was off-shored to India as part of a massive cost cutting program to add to already record profits, with the intention of selling off the company to Pepsi. And then I see Abbott at my former employer committing $16m to developing the visitors centre at the main site. The company made more than half a billion dollars profit, is sending hundreds of local jobs overseas, but he throws $16m at them.

Abbott, I'm buying you a Tom Tom and a dildo, so you can both GO and FUCK YOURSELF.
