On a high DPI device such as iPad retina display, you can tell a difference

There are a lot of people visiting from their mobile devices/tablets and they almost always use the slideshow, hence such high slideshow usage. Zips don't get used much as they are only available to members who have donated. Few per day at best. Almost 18 months later now, have these stats on slideshow usage changed much...? And, have mobile devices stats changed much...?

Sliseshow being a pain slow & never used, on my win7 devices & only marginaly better on win10, again never bothered with. I am curious what mobile device(s) would not use slideshow.

We now have a dedicated topic on site stats. I've pulled them from various threads into one.
Here is an update from Google Analytics. Number of visitors is pretty much unchanged but we are serving at least 50% more images than couple of years ago. I suspect since hosting move to Singapore, images are loading quicker and visitors tend to view more images as a result.
I'm absolutely staggered that mobiles/tablets have overtaken desktops as main method of viewing the site. It justifies the effort of making the site more mobile friendly.

Good work, any site not mobile friendly is doomed. I think the mobile advantage of private browsing helps, no boss net nanny or family to discover desktop/ laptop browser history lol!

Does the site have stats review? I am noticing that the last 4 months or so the number of members logged in is way down, at a guess it seems that at peak times are what the overnight lows were, back a few years.

Numbers are steady, but in it's current guise the forum stats are looking at averages over 5 minutes rather than 10 as it did before.

This post prompted me to extract some stats on which members are most thanked for their posts. Needless to say, I think narly deserves his ranking as an undisputed champion sharkboi is not doing badly either Code: position | username | thanks received ----------------------------------+----------------- 1 | narly | 107343 2 | sharkboi | 74631 3 | atefooterz | 24605 4 | zerohedge | 10925 5 | Lasered | 10738 6 | Tishaxoxo | 10345 7 | jcox394 | 9952 8 | jaydee69 | 9713 9 | norman16 | 9431 10 | 20b | 8013 11 | wolverine | 7784 12 | Tombslayer | 6231 13 | phunkyfeelone | 6191 14 | Stevenvr | 6098 15 | Laxative Effect | 5967 16 | dmam | 5755 17 | Tripitaka | 5509 18 | mrbbi | 5381 19 | xoxox | 5022 20 | HereIam86 | 4722
I was also thinking about creating a list of users thanking others the most but that may raise some privacy fears so decided against it.
