Looks like Australia could have its own blockbuster movie franchise. There are 7 books in the Tomorrow series. This could be huge.

When I saw the advert on the tellybox I never even realised it was Australian. It's a bit old hat then WWIII themei isn't it? Moofies like Red Dawn, WWIII, etc. used the theme a fair bit back in the eighties.

I agree with David Stratton that it has a bit of a Red Dawnish feel to it, but it's not a Cold War story. The book was written in 1995.

Saw the movie with Daughter & her BF ( both mid 20s & have read the books ) all quite impressed, great ballance of boys stuff & chick flick

So they started filming the tv version in Victoria, Molly Daniels from 'Are you skitting me ?' is taking over playing Ellie Linton once portrayed by Caitlin Stasey. I believe it will be a 6 one hour episodes on ABC3 sometime next year.
