R.I.P.
The Melbourne Storm R.L.F.C.
Cheats are not needed in the game
Lets bring back the BEARS on the Central Coast
We tried doing it down south and they blew it for the fans and most of the players
The Melbourne public are an AFL proud and will not cop having a team known as cheats of any code
AFL must be rubbing their hands
Hope the new Melbourne Rah Rah side can win them over without cheating

Go the West Tigers

Its rife in all sports. Its just that the Storm got caught or the NRL were the only admin that had the balls to act.

In the basketball the Kings and Tigers have been renowned for salary cap breaches. In the AFL Carlton in the past 10 years got done. I think under the table payments are rife for teams to get unfair advantage. I think 3rd party payments are ok as long as it is declared (which it never will).
It is probably amazing how many players wives and families become employees of the clubs or 3rd party companies but never have to turn up to work ever.

I hope this decision scares the shit out of the rest of the team sports in Oz (no doubt they wont).

Rugby league as a whole is on the wane anyway. As a grass roots participation sport it is behind union, and a long way behind Aussie rules and the round ball game.

The Storm will survive. They are needed to keep the TV rights as a national deal. News Limited will inject cash into them.

There's a game with a round ball? :???:

So if Melbourne fold does that mean thugby league's only going to be played in two states?

I think the storm will survive, The NRL needs the storm in the competition, just like the AFL needs Brisbane,Swans,Crows,Power,Eagles and Dockers.. the interstate clubs are what makes the money.

Why do some of you have to compare different codes against each other?????

I follow NRL, Super 14, AFL, A- League, NFL, NBA, NBL, Ice Hockey etc etc
I watch them for what they are not to compare.
It's like watching favourite TV shows
I bet you dont just watch one show and leave it at that, if you say you do your a liar

I love sport, I've played Aussie Rules, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer and anything else that was fun Cricket, Basketball, Baseball and 3 years playing Middle Linebacker in Aussie Gridiron
All fun, all healthly, all different and enjoyable for different reasons
Enjoy sport don't compare them, they are not the same, it's apples and oranges
May look the same but when you get into it they taste different
Ease up guys

For the record
Go the Wests Tigers, Sydney Swans, NSW Waratahs, Sydney FC, Oakland Raiders, LA lakers, Chelsea and the NY Yankees
Sport love it
Thank God for Fox Sports 1,2 & 3, ESPN, Euro Sports and One HD

Settle, petal! Don't be getting your knickers in a knot.

Just because people mentioned other ball codes it doesn't mean they were comparing them. Not from what I could see anyway.

When you start with 'round ball ' as you opening comment eg alternative game then use the term THUGBY it is a negative comment to a code you dont like.

Mate, it's poking fun at them but I certainly wasn't drawing any comparisons between them.
Was your response initially directed specifically at what I said (which was a harmless little jibe) or are you now just singling me out because I told you to stop getting your knickers in a knot?
Do you think you maybe you might be overreacting just a tad? :???:
