I don't want another Melbourne/Victorian team in the NBL! lol
They could have at least used SOUTHERN rather than just SOUTH aswell.

Apparently their 1st big signing will be Luke Schenscher. He missed out on being drafted in the NBA but is over 7 foot. Needs more meat on him but he would do nicely in the NBL.
The name is not a great one, reminds me of the South Sydney in the rugby.
Their membership pakages are very well priced compared to other clubs. They are going to be playing out of the Vodaphone Arena and have budgetted 5000 per game. Pretty steep for a 1st up team but hopefully it will be run better than the Liberty Giants.

The team has announced they have signed coach Mark Price as their head coach. The former NBA champion will be their inaugural coach for the next 1 season at least.

So far signed, Matt Shanahan from the Wildcats (his 7th team), Jocob Holmes from the 36ers, Frank Drmic (formerly from the Magic), a SA junior. Heal is letting his decision known in the next week.
