There are a lot of sites with music forums on them, but getting people to participate in them is hard. However, when people do, they are good for swapping mp3s of groups from differnet countries, finding out if a group playing near you is worth seeing, or finding out what groups are doing.
I say yes please. If it doesn't work out here, then it can always be deleted.

Feel free to not like this, but I can't see the point of that sort of thing. A thread in an OT forum is just as good for me. Guess that is one against now :S.

I'm not thinking MP3 exchange, just a forum like our sports forum. With Contra making wild allegations about the way "Chicago" is better than "Queens of the Stone Age" because they were number 1 in Italy.

Even though there won't be any MP3 exchanging etc. would it be OK to point to sites and places that have free music without hot linking. I'm for this because I had a lot to do with music mods from my Amiga days and I see that Octamed, Screamtrackers, Mod trackers are all still going strong and there is some brilliant free stuff being released in these formats. Because most is royality free I've got work to put ½ a dozen on our phone system for hold and people love them. This is the type of thing I want to discuss etc.
