The ABC hit on rugby league players and in particular this Johns character was typically highly subjective from the part of a network absolutely infriltrated by lesbians [call them feminists if you will ] as well boughousie intellectual snobs male/female that have all the pretence of being concerned for the role of women in australian society when really they're main objective is a much more subterranean-subversive one.

Ie., to divide and conquer the hetero-sexual community [through paid maternity leave as well as witch hunts contrived to look as though its an attempt at elevating or liberating females such as this little excercise].

In that 4 corners show it was obvious at least one of those women being interviewed over allegations of rape had a grin upon her face albeit partially hidden, as if the camera operator was secretly aware of this over the female interviewer, a certain churlish english lady notorious for her disaproval of in particular australian male sporting cultures and lifestyles.[and yes there are more than one of them]

By all means those in rugby league and elsewhere come from fairly impovershed stock 'intellectually' [ just look at the man that fronts the NRL their CEO David Gallop. I ask you?], but so do the young females that stalk and harrass these well paid but dumb individuals into sexual activity, and then some years down the line decide the time is right and the sexual-political tension is ripe for the picking. Then get talked into blaming it all on men by the likes of female journalists coming from certain political persuasions and ideologies that themselves are completely devoid of an objective analytical mind-set and approach to their chosen career, such as journalism. Seeing this chosen career within the media more as way of pushing their political allegiances than as way of revealing journalistic truths. However idealistic that may seem to be.

Lady journalist from 4 corners. If you can't be scientific in your role as a journalist. Get a job in advertising.
But cut the self-serving pretentious ABC intellectual boughousie upper-middleclass lesbian snobbery- parading as concern for young hetero females bull!!

Because lesbians and hetero females are by no means one and the same in the end. And the end result is invariably whats good for lesbians is not whats necessarily good for hetero-sexual females!

just because she consents to sex with one player doesn't mean she consents to sex with the whole team.

Exactly, why should a football player be different to any other male in Australia? It's not fukn on. Doesn't matter who the fuck you are or how well you're built, no means fukn *NO!* What part of *NO* don't people understand? Johns was the (high profile) fall guy, who were the other guys?

These young women are basically stalkers. they chase down these dopey fottballers fuck them and then they become venal and start to see $$$$ signs esp., when certain types of womanhood give them good cause.

Theyre basically tramps. Only in these days of feminism your not allowed to say that, your suppossed to call them feminists. Its getting too much forgodsakes. When are they gunna take some responsibility and view life as more than just muscles and monetary potential-pathetic.

And that pathetic twerp tracy whatshername -oh grimshaw- grimshaw by name. grim by character. could you imagine being forced into a sex act with such a woman.

You'd end up scrubbing your skin down so hard after the act you'd flay yourself! Stupid stupid woman and only on 9. Uuuuuggh!!!

True. And even if a girl decides to have sex with one bloke & agrees to go home with him but sometime before the act changes her mind but he decides that he's going to "do her" anyway it's still rape. If your defence is "she knew what she was in for" or "she was just a tease" or "if she didn't want it, she couldn't have coma over for it" then good luck! I mean, you may as well stand there & say "her voice said no but her body said yes". You wouldn't look any less stupid. Some guys just don't think they're responsible for the actions of their own willy, do they?

Sarah Ferguson refers to group sex as a 'depraved practice'. Some people might find Fisting, Midget sex, S&M, Bondage, Exhibitionism depraved practices, but that's a personal taste and morals thing, as far as I know anything goes in sex as long as it's within the national legal boundaries and both adult parties consent to it.
She then uses the term 'vulnerable young women' to describe some of the women who's stories involve sex with rugby players. Yes they are young and possibly vulnerable women, but they are also adults, they are supposed to be able to make good decisions. The law gives us the green light at our 16th birthday (17th in SA and Tasmania), to have sex with whom we please. The truth is different people mature at very different ages, a 20 yr old person may be more mature than a 30 yr old, and vice versa. Unfortunetly this woman did not have the wisdom at the time to completely avoid such a situation.
If this incident were to have been deemed illegal, then the law should come down on the guilty like a tonne of
bricks!
Do Rugby League and other football codes need to clean up their act regarding violence, alcohol and substance abuse, and sexual assault? Most definitely.
But... Why is Matthew Johns being treated like a criminal when he is not?
So... If ex-girlfriends and boyfriends of celebrities go to the media and tell us their sexual tendencies, "yes, he liked it when I licked his arse, we would f**k in public toilets constantly, he liked to dress up as a baby", are we going to condemn them and ruin their career because of it?

Yeah, to be honest, not living in a Rugby state, I haven't been taken as much interest in this case as some. My last comment was made in broad terms. Until now, I didn't even know who Matthew (?) Johns was.

I guess it comes down to whether or not she had consented to all the sexual acts that were performed on her (& not under the influence of alcohol or any other substance).
