I watched it too , I was happy to see it ( I started this thread after all)
It wasnt earth-shattering stuff but it's good in subtle ways if youre a SG:SG1 fan because all the old elements are there with some pretty radical ones nicely blended in (like the nature of the wraiths, they are FUGLY but I like them as bad guys), also I ve warmed up to some of the regular cast already, they have good solid personalities (except the head scientist lady/leader shes still abit of a non-person).

the leader of the 'new' SG team is a bit too much like O'Neill though - laid back, wise cracking. Still, I thought it was alright, and shows promise

yep the main guy is a bit of an O'Neill clone; the J-Lo looking girl is a female Teal'c and the scientist is like a bumbling Dr.Jackson
is really growing on me though; the 1st episode is saw was the one where they got stuck 1/2 way thru the gate in a jumper... then had to go back and see pilot etc.

I caught most of this episode. I personally thought it sucked dog balls to coin a phrase. It was cliched, badly acted, lacked suspense or much entertainment, poor characters, total and badly done cloning of SG-1.
I've seen this one and most of the pilot. Which also dereliqued my nuts.
I can't say its very likely its going to grow on me. Given that Channel 7 has put it back to 10:30 I think they don't think its going to grow on ppl.
I give it 2 seasons at the very most.
Even the dieing episodes of SG-1 are better. O'Neill behind a desk and everyone starting to look very bored with the whole thing [the actors I mean].
A damning review.

Well I am settled into watching it, one of the few shows I make sure I record (I watch little or no TV live).
