As we seem to be using this thread I thought I would move it here to General Chat

Thanks Narly, it was definitely out of place in the Suggestions and Announcment forum I thought Skaven's idea of moving it into the TV Shows & Movies thread was a good idea. Also, should the name be changed to "TV Alert thread"? I'm not trying to make work for anyone, seriously. EDIT: I was pissed off with channel seven last night; Residient Evil was 45 mins late starting.

I don't have the power to change names , but yeah a slight name change would be good . We don't seem to have the option of making a thread a Sticky or am I wrong

Saturday night 23 January, 11.20pm Rage Goes RetroQuote: For the last week of rage goes retro you are in for a real treat with lots of rarities from the archives, many not seen since they were originally aired! rage will be playing an episode of ‘Music Around Us: Pop Music’ from 1977, a Countdown Summer special ‘Studio 31’ from 1983 featuring loads of live performances from Kiss, Cougar, Village People, Adam & The Ants, Cure and more, as well as an episode of Countdown from 84, a 10.30 Slot from 2000 and a Rock Arena from 1985. And, I don't know about the heathens from over the borders, but my fellow Adelaideans may have noticed that Channel 31 are showing some classic B-grade scifi moofies tonight; "From the Earth to the Moon" &, after that, "Plan 9 from Outer Space". "Plan 9" is the jewel in Ed Wood's crown & considered by many film buffs to be the worst moofy ever made! Two of the stupidest things that always stick in my mind are the flight crew in the cockpit - which is just a small empty room with a clipboard on the wall - each holding what looks like just a semi-circular cut-out. The other bit that always makes me LOL is that Béla Lugosi, who died during the shooting, was replaced by Ed Wood's chiropractor. The problem with that is that the chiro's about a foot taller so we have a tall skinny man in the wide shots & little Béla playing the rest. There's actually a good 1994 film called "Ed Wood" which tells the story of the making of the film & stars Johnny Depp & Martin Landau.

I haven't seen "Plan 9" for many years, it would be good to see it again for a laugh.

You can't get access to a tellybox with an analogue tuner?
I wonder if MST3K ever did an episode with that film. I'm downloading each of their series on torrent so will eventually find out...
