The episode last night confirmed this as one helluva strange show!
Spoiler contained highlight to read:
Quote: Turns out Capt. Jack is gay! (or least he plays for both teams) I heard Jack say a line in a previous episode that now makes sense, but just confused me at the time. Can't remember what that line was exactly, but at the time I did wonder; "why did he say that, is he gay or bi?"

Perhaps the above quote box will explain things just a little more ... ?

that was revealed when he turns up in Doctor Who - since he's from the future where apparently no one worries about "teams" anymore LOL
PS agreeing with a lot of the posts on this page - why did ch.10 even bid for this show if they weren't going to give it a decent run? it should've been on ch.2 from the start. It's Battlestar Galactica all over again!

i seriously dont understand why channel ten bought the rights to show torchwood in aust if they decide to let it run for a couple weeks on mondays at 930 than shove it to the crap time of midnight tuesday its just stupid
im surprised no one has started boycotting channel ten since they tend to treat the shows that they buy the rights to like shit from some reason i dont know why but it seems they think we want to watch fat people working out when we could watch a fat bald yellow guy and his family
also since captain jack is from the future there are no teams like Blastoise said it also means he does it with aliens aswell

So does the end of last night's episode of Torchwood tie in with the beginning of last week's Doctor Who? You mean Channel 10 actually got an element of the scheduling almost right?
It was indeed a great series finale & I'm not ashamed to say that I had real tears a few times which is something you don't usually experience when you've only been watching a show for a few episodes. However, I thought the "beast" was possibly a little over the top & looked great but just seem a little incongruous & slapped in to just make the episode "bigger". Maybe that element would've been added a bit better if it was a two-parter. Still, that's only a minor point. It was well written & the cast managed to hit the emotional mark spot on every time. The final scene between Jack & Owen was so beautifully performed that one couldn't help but feel his pain & final release. In one word: superb! Television programmes just don't get any better than this!

Terrifying 'Torchwood' episode promised
I know that "Sapphire & Steel" episode they're talking about. I have the complete series on DVD because I never saw it when it was on the tellybox (I was too little). It's a fine series & that particular episode is a cracker!

Okay I'm a hypocrite. Captain Jacks big kiss was too gay for me but that sexy little Welsh number going the pash in the cell with that female prisoner was hot as hell.
Scripts are sensational but when it does crossovers with Dr. Who it gets a bit messy, I think.
What's the story with Torchwood anyway? Is it coming back to Ten?
Hope it doesn't go to Ten HD which I don't get
