daily mail article When Toadie Rebecchi's wedding to Dee Bliss ended in tragedy, it was one of the most dramatic moments Neighbours' history. The pair plunged into a river after a horrible car accident and Dee vanished, presumed drowned, on what should have been the happiest day of her life. The soap has been teasing the return of Dee, played by Madeleine West, over the past month, and now it's just a matter of days until we see her back on our screens. In recent episodes, Toadie's brother Stonie had found pictures of a woman who looks eerily like his lost wife and showed them to Toadie on his phone. Convinced she may still be alive as no body was ever recovered, Toadie hired a private investigator to track down his lost love. Dee is then spotted heading to Toadie's house by Karl Kennedy, leading up to a confrontation where the the 'dead woman walking' comes face to face with Toadie. The reunion is bound to cause issues for Toadie's wife Sonya who appears to learn that Dee is still alive when she stumbles across the private investigator's photos. Actress Madeleine, who plays Dee, recently revealed that the soap had been approaching her on-and-off for seven years to reprise her role. But the timing was never right until now, and the 36-year-old, who has been been busy raising a family, promises that her story line will be 'juicy'. 'The way it has been approached is really plausible and really topical. I think audiences are going to get some real kicks out of it. It's very juicy,' she told Digital Spy. The reunion will be difficult for Toadie, who remembers his love for Dee as a blissful time in his life. 'I think he'll go through the whole gamut of emotions. There's going to be some really interesting and hard-hitting scenes for us both to play,' Madeleine adds. |
