YAY, been too long between pics.
Gorks vs. Eco: who's going to have a more successful post-Shak career? My money's on Gorks (as are my hopes), but she's into a lot of stage musical stuff... if she ends up focusing more on that than a TV career, she mighn't be particularly visible. Meh.

'Eco' is older and less fashionable. Taller, pencil thin chicks are preferred over little curvy cuties in most cases and people don't know what to make of quirky personalities beyond face value. There is nothing wrong with "Gorks" but I prefer "jackie".

I like Jacqui Duncan, but Kendal's always been way closer to what I like. Generally I prefer brunettes over blondes, and I think Kendal's prettier. Jacqui's pretty, but in a more stereotypical way, if you ask me. Plus I just found Kendal more engaging on The Shak (back when they weren't reciting scripted dialogue all the time). I don't have a problem with the blond look favoured by TV execs -- but I've always been a brunette fan. The pencil-thin thing didn't occur to me, but I think that preference is a media-perpetrated myth. Now how's about some new head shots:

I prefer brunettes, too, traditionally but I've had a bit of a swing back to blondes recently. On average I favour brunettes. I don't think it's a myth that TV and movie people prefer the more toned, statuesque, look but 'the "pencil-thin" line was just shorthand on my part. I realise it can be used by people simply to defend 'fatties' (I say with irony).

But I'm with you - the media likes the tall blondes. Normal folks have broader tastes.
