Hi there, I've noticed that Youtube has changed their embed code slightly. When I add the new embed code into a forum post, I just get a white box instead of a video.
Below is an example of the new style of embed code and the old style of embed code.
Code:
New Code:
[youtube]<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/X76k6NiixW8?fs=1&hl=en_GB"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/X76k6NiixW8?fs=1&hl=en_GB" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>[/youtube]
Old Code:
[youtube]<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/X76k6NiixW8&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/X76k6NiixW8&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>[/youtube]
The change seems to be that this text in the old embed code
has changed to this text in the new code
By copying and pasting the embed code from Youtube into the post, then copying and posting the old text from a video which I had previously embedded, i can get the new videos to embed properly. I'm just wondering if there is something which can be done to simplify this process so it works like it used to?
Hopefully that made some sense.
