Four episodes in, and I am hooked!
I never watched the original series, but I understood the thrust of it.
A friend pointed out this remake to me, and highly recommended it. Great cast, great acting, the script is good, and the production values are very high too.
So; is anyone else watching this?

I've been watching it too but you have to go to your local DVD library & watch the original, Humpy. That's what I did &, after only the first two discs, I enjoyed it so much I went out & bought that box-set. It will now always be one of my favourite TV series. It's still critically claimed as a television masterpiece & worth the time.
Comparing the new version of The Prisoner to the original is a bit like comparing the US version of Life on Mars to the BBC original. It's much more grand & epic but lacks the essence of what made the original series so unique & memorable.
72 are currently re-running it but you're better off going to the DVD library & watching it from the beginning. My favourite episode is "Hammer into Anvil" (the one that has Patrick Cargill as #2).
