I have just upgraded to cable, so I am new to the world of torrents. I have been looking around, and have decided on using Limewire and uTorrents. I downloaded a couple of songs from Limewire last night, and after some trial and error, saved them to WMP. Just about to try getting an album from isohunt.
This is all pretty new to me, and I am only moderately tech savvy (all self taught). Any hints would be appreciated

I use LimeWire for mp3s & torrents for all my software needs - it's much quicker for that. I recommend downloading a programme called BitComet.

thanks skaven. I couldn't d/l anything through utorrent, don't know if I'm doing anything wrong or not. I've just got Springsteen's new one off Limewire, so now I'll try to burn it to CD

It is free. It takes time, but works well. Will be quicker with the more processing power your computer has. It also comes with burning software so make sure you look through the options and choose to burn the project once converted, and have a blank dvd in your drive.
Only known issues and this mainly depends on the DVD player you watch the resulting DVD on, but can be jerky during black or very dark scenes. This most likely will not be seen on a computer and say Power DVD. Also have had a few turn upside down and back to front, which I think was a result of the rippers choice of software.
