Looking at the quality of stuff that comes from DVB ( HD ) recorders it does appear to be the best solution atm. The 4:3 SD stuff is not so good though compared to the average HD cap card, but similar SD quality to a non HD card.

As we have to muck around to produce caps/clips after recording anyway then the HD DVB seems good and also frees up your PC while recording TV, to boot

( just check a few forums as some brands write with files that are not PC manipulation compatable )

i have had the DViCO FusionHDTV DVB-T Dual Digital 4 for about a year now ( replacing my Divico DVB-TPlus ) reasonably happy but new drivers are not as good as the old days ( fragging, de- interlace etc) mostly i miss having an imput for my cam & VCR/DVD players . At least it does auto of whatever the station shows ..so some HD shows on 7 ^ 9 are still in 1920 but mostly 1440 atm, ch 2HD is post ready 1280 x 720 as is the SBSHD ,on some shows. Also ch10 has only been broadcasting in 720 x 576 (402h widescreen or 1024 long,widescreen depending on your set) so caps are best displayed at 1024 x 576 at best.
