Haha my kettle is always polished stainless  .. OK as discussed here & more technically on mediaspy. You will see ,as i can on the 1.2m samsung plasma where i am house minding , that 7HD while still called that the quality of picture aint ...see middle SD cap off 7HD news stream. 7 Mate is showing fishing ..non HD & non widescreen upscaled to 1080. And as LCD rules, nine is also showing a 4:3 non HD show on their HD stream now called "GEM"

Here in Tasmania we don't get 7mate for a few months, not sure exactly when, until we do get it we still get 7HD....

i am in sydney & 7digital & 7HD both screen 576 ..7mate screens 1080 = how / what did you get 1080 on ..did it have 7HD watermark ?

Ok i have just rescanned my card ( again - last done sunday arvo for GEM ) The only change was that 70.4 is now showing as "7 digital" instead of HD7 and the image size broadcast is the same ( 720 x 576 ). Note on the bigscreen samsung,where i am house minding, it was upscaling the ch70 but quality was only as good as it got = 720x576

I'm not really a fan at all, but surely the canonisation ceremony qualifies as a special event to be shown on 7mate instead of 7two?
The refusal to show anything on the HD channel except tv shows and movies (mostly re-runs) and maybe a bit of sport is plain ridiculous.
