Have a great holiday mate, we'll miss your caps until you come back. Drive safely!

P.S. I'm off to Broome in 4 weeks time for a few days, that'll be my defrost time

Hopefully you'll get to see a sunrise at the rock. My parents said it changes you forever in quite a profound way because it's so spectacular. Of course my dad's gone now but my mum still often talks about it & says that there is Australia. There's nothing quite like it anywhere in the world. She still talks about how the whole rock glows & she'd never seen so many shades of red.

And if you're really lucky, when you're coming back (if you hit the right time), the Sturt Pea will be in full bloom. Horizons that go on forever in every direction covered in bright red flowers. They say it's incredible...

I did the centre in 2008 & yes the rock and the Olgas are awe inspiring . Both places are very spiritual in a way that the hairs on the back of your neck stand up . Just the sheer size of the rock when seen for the first time is gobsmacking .

Have you checked out the Pinnacles & Bungle Bungles? And, of course Dick Smith said you're not Australian until you've seen Arkaroola. Argod flew over it in a plane (obviously) about a year ago & said it was pretty impressive.

Anyway, we look forward to seeing some of your photos. Image

Pinnacles , no . Bungles I did a chopper flight over about 12 years ago . Flight was out of Turkey Creek in a 3 seat bubble type chopper with no doors , fantastic experience . Arkaroola and the Flinders is gods country and I can't get up there enough .
