And, for the culture vultures out there, here's the original "The Flower Duet" piece from Lakmé, composed by Léo Delibes which Malcolm & Yanni sampled & remixed for the BA advert:



Call me a purest, but I still prefer the piece as it was before those two got hold of it. :wink:

Those of us of a certain age who used to watch ABC TV at a certain time in the afternoon may remember this extremely trippy clip used as a filler. It was basically Deep Purple and friends with Dio on lead vocals.

Yep. Remember it well. The Chopper did say that it does have the unfortunate distinction of being a Stock Aitken Waterman recording but I still loved it when I was a kiddywink.

It wasn't. The music was written by Roger Glover, the bass player from Deep Purple. The lyrics were a series of poems written by William Roscoe in 1802.

Stock Aitken Waterman didn't team up until 1984.
