Patrick Swayze caught smoking on the set of 'The Beast'

DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

Patrick Swayze is still smoking, despite his battle with cancer.

The veteran actor, who announced in January that he has pancreatic cancer, has been photographed puffing away on the set of his new A&E TV series, "The Beast."

Swayze took a breather from playing an FBI agent who is investigated by an internal affairs team late last week to chat up two members of the crew as he savored his smoke break.

Swayze, 56, has been a smoker for years, and has admitted to blazing through up to three packs a day at one point.

The "Dirty Dancing" star came under fire in March after he was caught lighting up after undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Stanford University Medical Center.

Despite the smoking, the actor is looking healthier these days. After appearing gaunt at an L.A. Lakers game in May, a fit-again Swayze announced in late July, "I'm a miracle, dude!"

Recent studies suggest that smoking a pack or more a day can dramatically increase a smoker's risk of developing pancreatic cancer.

Swayze's rep had no comment on Monday.

According to this thread -21!

That's funny shit.

I appreciate the update Can_I_Poke_U, your interest in Patrick Swayze's death is very solemn and reserved. I assume.

I also commend UpOver for taking the piss of a "oh, so serious" subject.
Zombie Swayze or Ghost Swayze.
Only time will tell...
:D

Well he has less that a few weeks to live after the cancer has shifted to his liver and his doctors have told him to start saying his goodbyes to his family as there is no comeback from this one.

I have a friend who is 39, has a 15 year old son (single mum). At the start of the year they said she wouldn't see the year out. She's still around, but has only weeks to live as of about a month ago. She can still laugh and smile and is looking quite healthy.

Patrick Swayze's cancer has reportedly spread to his liver.

The Dirty Dancing star - who announced earlier this year he is suffering from pancreatic cancer - has reportedly started preparing himself for death by saying goodbye to his friends and family after discovering the deadly disease has infested another part of his body.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: "Patrick recently got word that the cancer had spread to his liver and that is what his doctors said would begin the countdown to the end. Patrick knew it was coming because he was suffering increased weakness.

"At times, he was so weak that he could barely walk without feeling faint. Sometimes he feels out of breath and has to sit down."

Patrick, 56, has reportedly told Lisa, his wife of 33 years, and his brother Donny that he doesn't have long to live.

The source added: "Lisa phoned Donny in Los Angeles and told him he need to come to Chicago, where Patrick has been filming TV show The Beast. She was crying and scared Donny to death.

"Donny got the impression his brother was already on his deathbed because Lisa was saying Patrick wanted to say goodbye. She couldn't stop crying."

Patrick has been undergoing pioneering Cyberknife radiotherapy at California's Stanford University Medical Center, and had been making a steady recovery from the illness.

Patrick Swayze claims that "he's not dying", saying the media are "reporting lies".

If that is the case wouldn't this very media report in which he states "I'm not dying" also be lies?

Hmm.

Hmmm Ilike the logic, but I think it is fundamentally flawed.

Because that would mean, we could never ever believe anything reported by the media. Weather reports included,....oh hang on. :?
